Thursday, October 4th ~ Benjamin Bush – Voice of the Millennial – Meditation in the 21st Century

Benjamin Bush will discuss the practice of meditation, the experience of the mystical, the crossroads of technology and the self as well as the relevance of meditation in the modern world and what our youth wants, needs, and knows. We’ll discuss how meditation compliments technology and how our youth is using technology to define themselves and bring compassion to the commercialized world. Benjamin will also speak to how we can each play a proactive role in supporting the youth to build a better world with a message of hope, responsibility, faith, power, and strength.

Benjamin didn’t wake up one day and decide to be a lifestyle meditator and he doesn’t consider himself “good” at meditation. But he feels like he has a deep relationship and unique understanding of it. He thinks the experience of meditation is fundamentally the core of who you are and the practice of meditation is the most rigorous, dynamic, joyful, and provocative human practice we can do.

We all have the compulsive inclination to be happy we are each on our own journey to understand what our happiness feels like on an authentic level. He is deeply passionate about bringing a dynamic understanding of meditation to the global stage.

Benjamin has hosted events, public forums, worked with drug recovery programs, universities, resorts and our military, all in the arena of mental fitness, and the practice of meditation. He is a writer and speaker on meditation and the difference between its practice and its experience. He believes that despite the profound human suffering in the world, we have an incredible potential to find depth, joy, and understanding. Each of us has the capacity to be happy, to bring peace into a broken world through offering our broken hearts the peace we deserve. He is unwavering in his faith that we each deserve to live happily peaceful and we each have a responsibility to find it ourselves, on our own terms.

He found meditation at 14 and has since dedicated his life to its practice, furthering the conversation of what he believe to be the most fundamental human experience. At my core he is unwavering in his knowingness that all true power, passion, and intuitive sense comes from our hearts. He believe in the practical, applied, and powerful capacity of our hearts to guide us to a better world.
