“Why are you here?” I often ask my moms this question at the beginning of The Enlightened Mom workshops. They usually have different answers. Some are struggling with their hubby or kids. Some want more balance. Some are in financial lack and want to make more money. And others feel as if something is missing in their lives. But in spite of the fact that each of their responses is different, there is always one common thread that creates their individual issues.
They are disconnected.
Disconnected means you are not following your heart. You do not trust yourself and the universe that you are worthy of abundance. Thus, you struggle. Think of it this way:
Disconnection = Struggle
Disconnection presents itself in many ways. The need to control your surroundings and the people around you means you are disconnected. Negative emotions, difficult relationships, lack of money, career issues, health problems, uncertainty, whatever you’re dealing with, all stem from being disconnected.
So how do you turn the tide and heal the pain and suffering you are feeling in your life?
You create a connection.
Creating a connection means to simply follow your heart. When you follow your heart, you align yourself with God. You open up to receiving love and abundance from the universe. Life isn’t supposed to be about the struggle. Abundance comes when you create a connection and ALLOW the things you need to show up!
Connection = Abundance
Here are three simple steps to maintain a connection daily:
1. Cut out a bit of your day to spend time with yourself and God. This goes against the grain of what we’ve been taught to create the life we want.We have been programmed to believe that if we push and control life, we will succeed. So we never take time to slow down. But it is this drive that keeps you disconnected. It is only by creating a space each day to go within getting to know who you are and what’s right for you that you end your disconnection. By loving yourself this way you are sending a message to the universe that says, “I am worthy of love and abundance!”
2. In every situation, ask yourself, “Is this my truth? Or am I living by a belief that tells me how life is supposed to be?” If your answer is the latter, recognize that this belief is part of your issue. It’s creating a disconnection inside of you. When you live by beliefs that aren’t your truth, you sever your connection to God. This is why you feel unworthy. YOU’VE shut down to receiving love and the miraculous flow of the universe. It’s not that God isn’t showing up for you; you’ve simply shut down to love and abundance. To open up and receive, let go of your false beliefs and give yourself permission to follow your heart.
3. Take inspired action. When you discover what is right for you and take inspired action, miracles show up! This is saying YES! to your heart. And when you say YES! to you, the universe says YES!, too!
We have two choices in everything we do: to connect or to disconnect. If you’re struggling in some area of your life, you are disconnected from your heart. Connection brings acceptance and love. Connection IS abundance. But it’s always a choice.
YOU are worthy of all that the universe has to offer. But it’s up to you to decide whether you are worthy! No one decides this for you. Every moment of every day you get to choose! Disconnection and struggle? Or connection and abundance? What do YOU choose? Please share your thoughts with me in the comments below.
