Why is THIS Political Race so Angry?

Why is this political race so angry? Have you found yourself discussing this and wondering why it’s so heated? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it quite so bad. Politicians are acting like childish five-year-olds. And many of their followers are not much better. The only thing anyone seems to agree on is that they want the government to change.

People are angry because they’re not feeling seen, heard and valued by the government. They are fed up. Everyone is tired of feeling as if they don’t matter.

But here’s the real issue…

Are You Afraid of Change?

  • April 19th, 2016

Are you afraid of change? For years, I hated it. I can remember as a little 10-year-old girl moving from my home to a town where I knew no one. I can still feel the pain and the tears streaming down my face as I looked out the back window of my parents’ car as we pulled away from the little neighborhood I had known for so long. I felt as if my world was falling apart. Have you ever experienced that kind of sadness when something changed in your life? How has that moment affected you?

What’s Holding You Back from YOUR Dreams?

What’s holding you back from your dreams? I ask this because I have just returned from New York City where I attended Steve Harrison’s National Publicity Summit. One hundred members of the press were there to listen to pitches from people just like you and me who are on a mission to fulfill their dreams. One man who stood out was a former Vietnam vet. His dream is that his book will guide other vets to get the help they need from the Veteran’s Association. What inspired me most, however, was that this man has been homeless for the last three years. He said he had a little money in the bank and got a sign to use it to pay for attending this event. It was a huge leap of faith for him to jump, but he did. He has a passion for serving and it paid off. At […]

Do You See Through the Eyes of Compassion?

Years ago when my late hubby, Steve, was still alive and I was just beginning my healing journey, we were arguing. It was a beautiful day at the beach. We were sitting in a little café but neither one of us could enjoy it. I have no idea why we were bickering. But what is still so clear to this day is that all of the sudden a picture flashed in my mind. It was Steve as a little boy. I very clearly saw “little Steve” say to me, “Please stop beating me up. I’m already having a bad day.”

5 Steps to Get Unstuck

Are you feeling stuck? I was today as I tried to write this blog. I knew I wanted to write but felt completely blocked. My normal pattern is to sit down, meditate, write a letter to God and ask for guidance. I’m usually fairly methodical and take steps to ensure I’m in a high vibration to receive guidance. But today I didn’t do that. I had been out running errands and, instead of taking time to nurture myself into a receptive space, I came in and plopped down at my computer. I tried over and over again to get a clear message, but no matter how many times I tried, I struggled. It felt hard. Nothing was flowing. So finally, I stepped away from my computer and sat down in a comfy chair to meditate and ask for help.
